The company is known for the strong popping effect of its popping candies, as well as the quality ingredients and the magical taste of its final products.

1930's ~ Starting Business

İbrahim Tıltay, established           ‘Arı Şekerleme’ in Adana, Turkey in the 1930’s.

He started producing akide şekeri (rock candy), nöbet şekeri, crystallized candy, Turkish delight, orcik candy, leblebi şekeri and helva (halvah) in his shop.

1937 ~ First Food Show

After a wide production range, Arı Şekerleme exhibited their first food show in Istanbul in 1937.        Ibrahim Tıltay is the gentleman on the right side.

1962 Cigana Gum & 1965 Olimpiyat Gum

The company started to produce chewing gum under the brand name ‘Cigana’. It was one of the first gum that was wrapped by a aluminum foil in Turkey. Ari Sekerleme produced another gum named ‘ Olimpiyat Gum’. The package had sportsman pictures cards who participated to the ’64 Tokyo Olimpics.

1972 ~ First chocolate in a tube

With the help of Ibrahim’s three young children, the company started to produce the first chocolate in a tube package in Turkey.

1979 ~ Brothers Takeover

Ibrahim Tiltay passed away in 1979 and left the company to his three children. Ali, Halit and Haluk Tiltay.

1987 ~ Expanding the factory

The company moved to a larger building to enhance the production tonnage and adding new product lines.

2001 ~ New factory

Arı Şekerleme moved to a new factory  and changed its name to Tıltay Gıda. The company also added popping candy to the production line.

2007 ~ ISM Cologne

From 2005 to recent Tıltay Confectionery has participated to ISM Expo every year.

New package design ~ 2006

2010 ~ All Candy Expo Chicago

From 2006 to recent Tiltay Confectionery participated to All Candy expo (Sweet’s & Snacks) every year.

2012 ~ New Factory

After the success in popping candy, the company moved to a 90,000 sqf. factory to enhance the production tonnage.
